That’s actually a pretty good looking truck. I say do it!

Lol. My neighbours would never see it, because I wouldn’t be able to get it down my street to park it at my house.

That seems incredibly off-brand, but I say go for it. Would make for some pretty entertaining stories, trying to manhandle a massive ' Murikan truck through your neck of the woods!

There should be a couple of pickups, but for some reason posted one, twice. Now corrected.
Ye’, it’s not me.
I couldn’t afford the vehicle, the insurance or the fuel bill.

I mean it would seem normal (if perhaps silly) to us Americans, you need to ask Euro-Oppos...

Ye’, thank’s not sure why it did that, probably my error. The second picture was supposed to be this one.
There are a few of them.

Lol. No, I’d never have one. There is a three year VED (vehicle excise duty) ‘penalty’ on cars over £40,000. The insurance would be high and I doubt I would even be able to afford the fuel bill not to mention I wouldn’t be able to get the pickup down my street.

not the best imho
probably still LHD too, so that would make things worse
how much road tax/VED are liable for them?

I thought with you lot knowing my love for practical, fuel efficient estate cars you’d all go, ‘what the hell!?’.

No no no. You’ve got to change your mindset! Road too small? Not your problem, that’s THEIR problem. Who are “they?” who cares, just turn up Free Bird and forge your own path. Mirrors break off? Time to sue! Neighbors don’t like it? Add a bigger, noisier exhaust. Neighbors REALLY don’t like it? Trade it in on a bigger diesel varient for coal-rolling ability. And remember, if it’s not lifted on massive mud tires , you’re not a real man.

I get all the luxury I want and legroom from my Skoda.

They are still LHD, not sure on tax as it’s based on the emissions. Looked at the UK Go tax website and they don’t list the vehicle but the highest tax amount is £2,135 a year, granted a VED for an Aston is around £1,000 a year.

I'd be happy, they're nice trucks. I prefer Ford though. Feels great and the v8 is mega.

Very. Mainly because you could get a custom blinged out Ford Transit for so much less...and actually be able to afford to run it.

But I’m sure you’d be good at keeping it clean and tidy.

Lol. A massive no to all of that. Lol.
Only pickup I’d have is an ex-MOD Land Rover.

I live in a 150 year old terrace house on a one way street. Cars on either side have to park a little on the kerb so delivery vans can drive down the middle. Lol.
The VED (road tax) would be about £1,000 a year based on emissions and fuel is £1.15 a litre here, U.S. gallon is 3.8 litres, so £1.15 x3.8, that’s GBP £4.37(USD$5.36) a U.S. gallon.

Cars that have VEDs that high are super expensive cars so wouldn’t be much in the whole scheme of things.

Man, that’s just nuts. I drive them at work, I work at a Dodge dealership. I think my Ranger would be a decent size for the roads over there though.

They can be had from anywhere from £8,000 upwards.
The upper end ones are all fully restored with genuine new un-used MOD parts.

The Ranger , we got the current third gen facelift Ranger back in 2015.
and the previous third gen Ranger from 2011 - 2015.
The U.S and world Rangers diverged after the Mazda BT50/Ford Ranger.

They are okay on motorways, quite tight on main roads and risky on side roads.
A main road is 3.65m (12").

literally every single person drives those or similar here in Texas. 3 row V8 SUV and 4 door pickups are the absolute norm in daily drivers. Almoat all mind you with only 1 person inside driver. Millions of V8 3 row SUV rolling empty.

The three most common cars on U.K. roads are, the Ford Fiesta, then Focus and then Vauxhall Corsa.
Consistently the biggest sellers are VW Polo and Golf, Ford Fiesta and Focus, Vauxhall Corsa and Astra and the Nissan QashQai (because it’s made in Sunderland, usually you can get massive discounts on these).
The best selling cars of 2020 so far are.

We have been saying it for some time now. Lol.
Granted some things are seen by North Americas in ‘not being free’, such as we have tight gun control, because in the most part, we don’t need them.
Here’s one I always ind funny by Jim Jefferies.
